The trainer will take delegates through a variety of areas, including:
• Typical foundation types
• Below-ground works
• Floor construction
• Drainage installations
• External walls
• Upper floors
• Roof coverings
• First-fix stage, including electrical and ventilation installations
• Plastering
• Second fix
• External works
At the same time, your trainer will highlight the responsibilities of inspectors and risk surveyors in ensuring high quality homes are delivered, and how recent regulation changes have changed that role.
In addition, learners will discuss the standards laid out in the Technical Manual, and the best practice needed to attain those standards when building homes.
This is one-day course aimed at non-technical staff instils an understanding of the stages of constructing a home. Anyone working in construction in a non-technical, non-hands-on role, such as administrators, claims handlers, and graduates.
We have expert industry knowledge and set our own standards, all our training courses are delivered by expert trainers with the knowledge of our claims history, surveyors inspection data including defects and common dispute areas and how to avoid the most common mistakes which lead to claims and unhappy customers.
We sit closely with our Technical Standards department which means we can quickly pass on any changes coming or if a standard is being withdrawn it can be incorporated in our training sessions.
