Our Building Control function supports construction projects in adhering to a set of minimum regulations, supported by approved documents developed by the government and approved by parliament for the design, construction and conversion of most buildings.

A common misconception is that only the Local Authority can provide Building Control, but this is not the case.  There is an alternative in the form of Approved Inspectors and customers are free to choose whichever provider they wish to use for their projects.

Premier Guarantee is an Approved Inspector (AI), authorised under the Building Act 1984 to carry out Building Control work in England and Wales. 

All our inspectors belong to professional bodies including RICS, RIBA, CICAIR, CABE and CIOB, and are bound by their code of conduct and that of the Construction Industry Council.

Our Approved Inspectors are highly qualified, with vast experience in Residential, Commercial and Mixed-use Developments, who are here to guide you through the maze of required building regulations on your construction projects, taking the necessary steps to make sure that building works comply whilst maintaining high professional standards.

Keeping a ‘golden thread’ of information at each stage, we will:

• Provide a free pre-application service to look at the key issues that may affect your design such as fire safety, means of escape and combustibility.
• Submit Initial Notices without payment upfront. 
• Provide access to our extranet portal to upload your plans and details.
• Update you at each stage of the design review.
• Inspect at key stages of work using hand-held devices, feeding back any issues in real time including a site report and photographs.
