CCHB provide training for revised code

Published date: 3 January 2024

The Consumer Code for Homebuilders is kicking off 2024 with some free training to help those interested in understanding the revised code.

The code, of which Premier Guarantee are a founding member, was developed by the home-building industry to make the home buying process fairer and more transparent for purchasers.

The revised fifth edition of the code was effective from the 1 January 2024.

Why has the code been revised?

The updated code builds on over a decade of effective consumer protection and has been revised in order to:

  • align with other codes in the market
  • enhance or clarify existing requirements
  • introduce some new requirements

Last year, the Consumer Code for Homebuilders published a transition pack to help the industry prepare for the revision. You can get that here.

More information on the new code can be found here.

What does the training focus on?

The training will be in the form of two free webinars focusing on:

  • an overview of the main changes in the revised code
  • helping you accelerate training in your teams

CCHB training lead, Peter Stonely, will be providing a full overview of the code’s requirements and CEO, Carol Brady, will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

When are the webinars?

The 'What’s New?' session is on Thursday 11 January between 12-1pm.

The 'Train the Trainer' will take place between 10am-12:30pm on Monday 15 January.
